Understand and comply with all rules and guidelines set forth by
US Soccer, FYSA, and Venice SC.
Complete all USYS requirements before the season starts:
Background check, Heads Up Training, and Safe Sport training.
Maintain lines of communication with the Venice SC Coach Liaison
Provide a framework for athletes to perform to their potential by
teaching and developing skill levels, assigning player positions,
and designing game strategies for all team members during practice
sessions.
Facilitate the core elements of coaching and curriculum as
outlined by the Venice SC Board of Directors.
Teach and set expectations of appropriate team conduct during
competition, travel, practice, and at any other times the team is
representing Venice SC.
Develop players’ competitive talents while also teaching and
promoting teamwork.
Mentor players on and off the field, encouraging leadership
skills, a growth mindset, and academic success.
Plan, organize, and manage all practices and competitions,
including ensuring game-day substitutions, rotations, and tactics
align with developmental goals.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all
players, promoting respect and camaraderie.
Oversee the conduct and discipline of the team.
Assist in organizing and administering team fundraising
activities.
Help recruit, select, train, and evaluate club players, including
contributing to individual development plans (IDPs) when
appropriate.
Maintain regular communication with players’ families regarding
expectations, schedules, and player progress.
Attend all coaches’ meetings and participate in further coaching
education opportunities, including licensing.
Promote and assist, along with the Board of Directors, in the
player tryout process and selection of Venice SC players.
Collaborate effectively with assistant coaches and other staff to
ensure alignment with Venice SC’s vision and mission.
